Everything in Waialua tastes good
On April 11, 2009, scores of local merchants displayed their products for sale at the "Taste of Waialua" held at the old Waialua Sugar Mill. All the products are homegrown in the Waialua area. Since the demise of the sugar plantation the Waialua district has gone through a transition into many small farms and light industrial businesses. This was a day for anyone making, baking or painting anything in Waialua to present his or her wares. There were scores of food tents, an array of arts & crafts, produce, coffee, chocolate, live music and more.
